Zabaletta insist Pep Clinical strike force were the only difference

The former Blues defender Pablo Zabaleta says Manchester City's clinical finishing sets them apart in the Premier League.

City demolished West Ham 4-0 at the London Stadium on Saturday a game that showcased the full extent of the Cityzens' attacking prowess.

Goals from David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane (two) secured City's sixth consecutive win on their travels to the capital and maintained their two-point cushion over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

“The difference on Saturday was the quality in the final third." That’s the key to winning games, and they did it," the 33-year-old said.

“They had five chances, they scored four goals and that was the difference because I don’t think our performance was bad.

“When you play against the best team you probably need the best performance and we should have done better defensively with the first three goals we conceded," the Argentine explained.

“They came inside our six-yard box and that’s where you need to be solid and not concede easy goals.

“We did everything to try and get something out of the game but it wasn’t possible.”

Pablo Zabaleta, who revealed he will retire at the end of the season, won two Premier League medals, the FA Cup and the League cup in his nine years at the Etihad.
