City down to One Striker ahead of Lyon clash

Manchester City will be without Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus for Tuesday night’s Champions League game against Lyon after the trio missed training earlier today.

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus will miss Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash against Lyon due to an adductor injury.

That means Sergio Aguero is the only natural striker in the travelling squad, although the likes of Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez could move centrally if needed.

Youngsters Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz, Aro Muric and Daniel Grimshaw are in the squad flying to France, while Danilo is also on board despite his absence for the weekend win over West Ham.

Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy and Claudio Bravo remain absent with long-term injuries.

Here is the full squad to face Lyon:
31. Ederson
32. Daniel Grimshaw
49. Aro Muric
2. Kyle Walker
3. Danilo
4. Vincent Kompany
5. John Stones
7. Raheem Sterling
10. Sergio Agüero
14. Aymeric Laporte
18. Fabian Delph
19. Leroy Sané
21. David Silva
25. Fernandinho
26. Riyad Mahrez
30. Nicolás Otamendi
35. Oleksandr Zinchenko
47. Phil Foden
55. Brahim Diaz

Manchester City will guarantee a place as table toppers with a victory against the only side to have secured all three points against the Cityzens.
