Brahim Diaz declares he will quit Manchester City soon
Brahim Diaz has made the decision to leave Manchester City when his contract expires in the summer, Spanish newspaper AS reports today.
Earlier this month, report from Marca, claimed top European clubs including Real Madrid are keen to take advantage of Brahim Diaz uncertain future at Manchester City.
Lack of minutes at the Etihad, coupled with the idea of returning to Spain is tempting for the player, already aware of the interest from the Champions League winners and the idea of playing for the La Liga giants ‘seduces’ him, which is why, as of today, Brahim has decided to leave Manchester City… according to AS.
Diaz lit up the Etihad Stadium against Fulham in the last round of the Carabao Cup, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win, yet has not played a single minute since – and this situation, with so many big names in front of him, is said to have helped make his decision.
Diaz, who is represented by Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep, would be seen as a similar case to that of Marco Asensio, where he’d go through preseason with the Real Madrid first team before a decision was made on if he’d stay with them all season or go out on loan to a La Liga club.
However, City still have time to try and convince Diaz to stick around, and Pep Guardiola said recently that the club will do everything it can to keep him – but the signals from Spain are that City are poised to lose another wonderkid, who looks set to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho.
