Manchester City team fitness report

Guardiola's side will be strengthened with the imminent return of Brazil International; Danilo Luiz, who will finally return to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines having injuried his Ankle during the World Cup.

Danilo joined the Cityzens training campus few weeks ago, but didn't feature in City's UEFA Champions League Opener and last weekend's victory in South Wales, having been deemed unfit, however, he wiĺl finally get his opportunity today against English League minnows Oxford united in the Carabao Cup.

City's Golden midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, unjustly snubbed the FIFA PRO XI line up yesterday, after he had a sensational 2017/2018 season with Belgium and City. He injured his knee in training after victory over the Gunners, and is expected to still be out for weeks.

Then second-choice goalkeeper Claudio Bravo picked up an injury keeping him out for the remainder of the year while new academy signing Philippe Sandler and forgotten man Equalim Mangala also have injury problems.

Benjamin Mendy has been out for three games after picking up a foot injury in training, and Guardiola admitted he does not know when Mendy will return.
