David Beckham begs Zidane to defeat Liverpool.
Former England and Manchester United midfielder David Beckham has begged his former club Real Madrid  to beat Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Madrid are aiming for their third consecutive Champions League title - a feat that has not been achieved before by any club.
Beckham played in Madrid alongside the French gaffer from 2003 to 2006 - the latter year Zidane decided to retire from international and club football.
He said: "To have been prominent as a player and now to be successful as the boss, the big boss, I just want to wish Zizou, the boss, the president, the club good luck in the Champions League final.
"And please beat Liverpool, please!"
Beckham has won the UEFA Champions League with United in the 1998-1999 season.
If Zidane wins his third European title as manager he would match the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Bob Paisley.
Liverpool are aiming for their sixth title and are hoping to emulate their opponent Real Madrid on Saturday after their glory from 2005 when they lifted the cup in Istanbul defeating AC Milan on penalties.
The final kicks-off at 7:45pm at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev.
